Not sure which cruise line fits your travel style? Here are a few things to think through — once you've got answers, contact Steven or Katherine and we'll match you with the best-fit cruise line.

Start by thinking about who's traveling with you and what you want to spend. High-end cruise lines offer a true all-inclusive experience, including butler service, while family-friendly lines typically include the essentials and let you build on the experience from there.

Plan for a possible 1–2 night hotel stay before and after your cruise. If you don't live within about two hours of your departure port, you may want to build in extra time so the trip doesn't start (or end) feeling rushed.

Cruising is about bringing the best of land to sea. Some travelers are happy with the basics; most want more. Think about the entertainment you're after and how many nights you'll be sailing — a 4-night cruise and a 14-night cruise call for different priorities. And remember, there's a lot to enjoy on board beyond your shore excursions
